The end is near!

The end of the year, that is… I’m pretty sure the earth will keep rotating for a little longer – with or without us. Oooh, can you tell I’m in my gloomy mood? Must be the jolly season!

Anyhoo, I DO have great news to share!

Today, the 10-Day extravaganza aka The 6th Annual Ax Wound Virtual Film Festival! is starting and I’m damn stoked to say that my short film Things We Dig will be part of it – making this the official end of its 2021 film festival season run!

Ax Wound Film Festival features horror films written and directed by women and nonbinary filmmakers. It’s an imaginative and immersive virtual horror film festival with slumber party vibes!

You can catch my horror comedy in Block G on Friday, Dec 17th, 5:00 pm PST. See the schedule/get tix here and check out the rad film selection here. Oh, and I almost forgot: There will be a live Q/A stream with the filmmakers right afterwards, including yours truly!

What makes this even more special to me is that I’m an alumni – my second time having one of my shorts as an Axwound FF selection! (The first time was in 2015 for ‘The Appointment‘). Can I get a bloody hellz yeah! Thank you #AXWFF!

‘See’ you in the virtual world!

The little film that could!

Hi guys, more great updates for ‘Things We Dig‘!

The 6ix Screams International Horror Film Festival has come and gone (btw… great peeps who really help promote filmmakers) and we found out ‘Things We Dig’ won an the Best Classic Villain” Award! Woohoo! Thank you 6ix Screams for this honor!

Coming this weekend, ‘Things We Dig‘ will screen at a live in-person event in Munich, Germany – our Germany Premiere!!! You can see all the info on their website for the Independent-Star Filmfest Munich!!!

We are in the shorts block on Saturday, November 13th in the evening. We also found out we won the Silver Award in their Horror Shorts section! I’m sending a family member to pick it up for me! I am so incredibly excited to have my horror comedy screen back home, in my neck of the woods! Oh, if only I could be there!

EDIT 11/12: Unfortunately, due to very high Covid19 cases, the live event had to be canceled. Such a bummer! It will all be virtual instead.

I’m still waiting to find out more details about our Spain Premiere at the ROFL Film Festival in Madrid. Info coming soon!

Edit: I have received news from the festival that the in-person event will be moved to early 2022, due to currently very high Covid19 cases.

And, last but not least in any way..I’m happy to announce ‘Things We Dig‘ is a selection for the AxWound Film Festival! This would be the second time they have selected my work – back in 2015 it was my first short film ‘The Appointment‘. I’m so honored to to have ‘Things We Dig’ amongst such a rad line-up of female filmmaker’s work!

The film festival will be in December and I’ll have more details soon!

Ok, I think I’ve covered it all…for now! Congratulations again to my cast and crew without who this wouldn’t have been possible!

Digging the love!

Things We Dig views are going up and people are spreading the good bloody word! We just went past 666 last night, woot!

Thank you for all the comments, shares and messages in the last few weeks since putting the horror comedy out there for everybody to watch!

To my utter delight, the short film is still getting film festival love! In the last two weeks, three more film festivals have selected ‘Things We Dig‘ for their programming!

One of them is the 6ix Screams Film International Horror Festival (Canada) October 25-26!

Thanks for the fun graphics and laurels 6ix Screams!

The other two will be premieres in GERMANY and SPAIN in November! Stay tuned for more info as soon as I get the details!

Three spooky CHEERS to my cast and crew!!!
