It’s the journey, man, not the destination, right?
Acting in film is my absolute passion and I love having the chance to live out other lives and characters! My acting experience started around 5th grade in school theatre and several small stage productions in my hometown in Germany. Soon after immigrating to the U.S. I tasted ‘movie blood’ while working on several film sets as an extra, including James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’.
Wanting to learn more about the craft, I began training in earnest and enrolled in acting classes and showcases. Once I started auditioning, student films offered me opportunities to play speaking parts, adding experience and confidence to win me supporting and eventually leading roles in shorts and independent feature films such as The Slingers, The Immortal Edward Lumley and Ghostline.
Then, I self-produced my first short film ‘The Appointment‘, which I wrote, co-directed and also acted in. It made it into 8 film festivals around the country between 2015-2016. You can now watch it for free on vimeo!
I am currently in pre-production for my next short film ‘Things We Dig‘, a horror comedy, also written and directed by and starring me.
I love playing bad girls. Did I mention I speak fluent German? I’m also a total sci-fi and horror geek.
I can do action! I have a little stunt experience and keep up with martial arts and self defense training as a life style. Firearms? Riding a horse? Driving a stickshift? No problem!
I can handle FX make-up and crazy contact lenses! Latex? Bring it on! No allergies here!
I can do sexy hitwoman – I love versatile looks, especially wigs! That chick from ‘Alias’ has nothing on me! ;)
I play well with others…
…most of the time ;)
I’m a bit of a tomboy, too. I’ve been known to hang around on film sets, pretending to work as crew. Did I say I love film?
My wildest dream is to be the next indie queen (there, I said it) and to one day make a speech with a Spirit Award in hand.
Sounds simple, right? Well…It’s the journey, man, not the destination ;)
Thank you for stopping by – have a great day!
