Hello kiddies! More exciting news about our little movie that could:
• There’s going to be a screening of our feature film ‘The Immortal Edward Lumley‘ in Hollywood on February 12th.
• We just officially started of the Kickstarter campaign to help make Edward Lumley truly immortal – by raising the funds to share the movie with the whole world!
First, here are the details for the Los Angeles screening of ‘The Immortal Edward Lumley‘
(A big ‘Thank you’ to Burt Culver for setting this up):
Where: the luxurious Soho House, 9200 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069
When: Tuesday, February 12th, 2013 at 7PM.
You can park on the street or use their valets ($13). Arrive just before 7pm and take the elevator up to the penthouse. There will be signs or someone to greet you at the top.
*** Important – RSVP to me via email@example.com before the 10th as Soho House requires 48 hour notice for the Guest List ***
We’ll start the film at 7:10pm and have Q&A with the director William Wall and some of the cast afterwards. Unfortunately, we have to leave at 9pm. Afterwards, we’ll head to the Rainbow Bar & Grill four blocks away for follow up. You can RSVP here too if you do meetup.com: http://www.meetup.com/Los-Angeles-indie-film-tv-screenings/events/101142102/
We want to keep these screenings free or as inexpensive as possible. These events are for the love of independent film – not to raise money for the film (separate thing, see the Kickstarter info below). That said, there is a cost associated with renting the venue for 2 hours. We will pass the hat at the screening to help offset the cost so a payment of $5 to $10 per person if you are able would help out the cause!
About the Kickstarter campaign:
The overall goal of this film, and every film that we make, is to show that it doesn’t take Hollywood throwing millions into some awful script to make a film. It takes a great story, passion, and the utmost determination to bring something special to life. With the state of technology, it’s all within our grasp. As Mr. Wonka once told us, “We are the dreamers of dreams..”
Get awesome perks – from DVDs to signed posters to set props and even costume pieces! Make sure to watch William’s fun pitch video at the top of the page! Ready to donate, err, shop?
